Liveblogging the VP debate -- we are asking PalinSpeak the questions as they come in and posting the results here!
7:32 - Well, she did far, far better than her interviews. Though at 7:17 on the question on the power of the Vice President, she obviously didn't have an answer and veered off. But in general, she managed to outperform PalinSpeak. Well done, I guess... 7:30 Q: Governor Palin, you get the first opportunity to make the closing statement. PALINSPEAK: When we see right now where nobody's wanting to really pick up the ball and run with it and take the steps to get the facts and the pursuit of happiness. I'm saying that, personally, I would like to see a culture of life in this case, for Georgia. And in that kind of grab it all or capture it all or capture it all and pretend like they have as priorities. In fact, I dressed up as Tina Fey once for Halloween. Yes. We must start taking the steps to get the facts and the will that they desire that their government engage in. But personally, I would hope that's the beauty of American elections, of course, because I have done is have been abuses on Wall Street and that we are already suggesting here, not having enough troops in Kuwait and stop and visit our injured soldiers in Germany. But personally, I would ever support. Yes, we sure have. They're very, very thankful that I've been brought up in Afghanistan, as we all understand that John McCain used. But ultimately, what the issues are that are legal and save, and should be taken, but Katie, again, I believe that Bin Laden is is hiding out right now and and is still such a leader of this terrorist movement. And with Russia. But first and foremost, taxpayers cannot be looked to for the maximum benefit of the abuse of that self-dealing and kind of that self-dealing and kind of doesn't matter which party it is gridlock and get going on this. When we see the collapse that we're capable and we're willing to do everything growing up that the only option for them is to defend the United States of America. I'm a feminist who, uh, believes in equal rights and I are sworn in, if we are getting tired of politics as usual, the cronyism and allowing obsessive partisanship to get in there and let's reform. But no, the Pakistani people also, they want freedom. It's about the health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to be vigilant against. Trying to get a more coordinated and a much more stringent oversight regime. Because the freedoms, the firm. 7:28 Q: On bipartisanship ... we all saw what just happened in Washington this week. How to change the tone? PALINSPEAK: I'm certainly a Washington outsider and I'm proud of that because I think that that is what we need also. You know, I don't believe that Republicans in Washington have got to put the pressure on Iran and we have seen change there. I don't believe that America is in and that we represent and our friends, what they have all options out there and fix it. Let's do this, mom. I can give you examples of things that can be looked to as that leadership, that light needed across the world. 7:26 Q: Can you think of a single issue, policy issue, where you were forced to change your long-held view to accomodate change in circumstances? PALINSPEAK: I can give you examples of things that John McCain will do on this and we are so privileged to be in, if we were were to allow that to happen. Getting that nod was quite an experience, of course, that transfer of wealth, still, that imbalance of trade is something that John McCain and I think it should be circulating within our own economy. I would also like to see Well, you know, I don't know if government is going to find ourselves in another Great Depression. 7:21 - after Biden talks about the death of his wife and daughter -- she flips back to talking points about the "maverick." 7:19 Q: Conventional wisdom about your Achilles heel is, that your lack experience ... what is your Achilles heel? PALINSPEAK: What I know is that smaller democratic countries that are affecting their daily lives, Americans are. I have seen change there. We do not like the idea though of taxpayers being used to bailout these corporations. It's very important in America today in our state to produce more for the United States, and the insurance carrier duties of AIG. Is he going to keep working on for these years as the solution or not. 7:17 Q: Do you believe as Vice President Cheney does, that the Office of the Presidency does not hold complete power over the VP, that it's part of the legislative branch? PALINSPEAK: The nice thing about him, too, is he is not part of the people. I'm all about the health care reform that is what I have done in Iraq. It's been refreshing. We need them. Sure have. 7:14 Q: Tell us now, what you think the Vice Presidency is worth? PALINSPEAK: They're very, very important to us and now we are a free, and we are today with so much collapse on Wall Street and that plan for this problem that we have with Canada. I have made. It is, but I want fewer and fewer abortions in this beautiful creation that is the group that can be looked to for the United States, in my world, those are the ones who say Israel is a part of that. I think that we would need to be expected to be wired in a way of being prayed. Right. 7:10 - not just any Main Street, but Wasila Main Street! 6:57 Q: Interventionism, nuclear weapons - what should be the trigger, or should there be a trigger, when nuclear weaponry is put into play? PALINSPEAK: Science should be allowed. And it's why we should have started doing it 10 years ago tapping into domestic supplies that America may find itself on. Oh, I think it was an unfair attack there, again, based on verbiage that Senator McCain and his team had been doing that before Tina Fey's being doing that. That's part of the people had just given me, via their vote, they expected the changes in climates. 6:53 - Comment - "She's Bush in a skirt." 6:49 Q: Secretaries of State Baker, Kissinger, Powell ... have all advocated some level of engagement with enemies. Do you think we should pursue that policy with Iran? PALINSPEAK: I've never heard Henry Kissinger say, Yeah, I'll meet with some of these CEOs and top management people and the insurance carrier duties of AIG. It's very important in America today in our relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union. I I answered him yes because I think Americans at the end of the construction bonds and everything else. Right. Let's get in there and fix it. We have erosion issues. 6:48 - the return of "nucular". 6:47 Q: Let's move on to Pakistan and Iran. What's a greater threat, a nuclear Iran or an unstable Pakistan? ... Governor? PALINSPEAK: And I believe that they, too, want to rid not only their country, but the world, of violent Islamic terrorists. I have that very narrow maritime border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, where, you know, I say that also as the bailout, as the governor of this country and their allies, including us, all of the American. Perhaps so. So, of course, it's the utmost honor is what America and that, and without preconditions being met. I'm saying that, personally, I would also like to see what way the political wind's blowing? I'm ready. That is facing today. 6:40 Q: Let's move to foreign policy... You've said you want to see a real clear plan for an exit strategy. What should that be, Governor? PALINSPEAK: And trade we?ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. It is, but I want fewer and fewer abortions in this mission of keeping our eye on Russia and Putin and some of these leaders around our world to be expected to be cognizant of what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you consider even national security issues Let me speak specifically about a person's values. They are our next door neighbor. He's also known as the solution to this, taking action, and being serious about the health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to get people to understand that John McCain has been allowed to be on the war on terror. And I'm very, very important to us and they are our closest ally in the last 30 years happens to have done is have been put in where it is to blame. I am pro-life. He's got to tackle also. 6:38 Q: Governor, would you support extending that [rights for same-sex couples] to across the nation? PALINSPEAK: Again, I didn't hear a word she said, but the family's checkbook is being decimated because of the adverse impacts all across our nation, especially with new leadership coming in there and my life is out there. I'm all about the position that I will play as his partner. Through reform, absolutely. Well, what we're promising to do. The support that we work together on this proposal. 6:36 Q: Just to clarify, you do support capping carbon emissions? PALINSPEAK: You have to show the support, in this evil, in this post-9/11 world, where we're able to commit to never again. They want democratic values and tolerance and freedom. We must have good relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union. I think, should include Ukraine, definitely, at this time. All of those NATO members. And it's going to you. 6:34 - Did she just say "O'Biden"? 6:31 Q: Governor ... How come no one has talked about the causes of climate change? PALINSPEAK: But the reference there is form a sub-cabinet to focus solely on climate change. And there have been put in where it is that my son has made a choice that isn't a choice that I believe that there is a grand the grand plan. It should be taught as an accepted principle. No way, not Americans. And it's beyond bad guys are. 6:29 Q: ... Governor Palin, is that so? PALINSPEAK: So, again, I haven't spoken with anyone who disagrees with my position that we are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be implemented, policies are, on behalf of the construction bonds and the insurance carrier duties of AIG. It doesn't have to lead to war and it changed my life. They are our next door neighbor. And we have to second-guess what their income bracket is because our businesses then and our concerns and be able to make sure that this war against extreme Islamic terrorists is the role that I will play that is the foundation of our best interests to fight for our nation today, that for national security issues Let me speak specifically about a credential that I will focus on energy independence and reform overall of Washington and tax cuts for Americans and the pursuit of happiness. And she said, absolutely. Note: Real Palin actually did go off on a complete tangent: is talking about energy now. 6:27 - Main Street! Wall Street! 6:25 Q: So governor, as Vice President, there's nothing you've promised as a candidate that you wouldn't take off the table as a result of this financial crisis? PALINSPEAK: I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink. So, what I've done up there with the American people are getting into crisis mode here. That's a great plan to get into the issue that we're on, reform of government and these regulatory agencies back on the right track. And there? Do I respect people's opinions on this. I think, should be about it. 6:21 - "the ultimate Bridge to Nowhere!" 6:19 Q: You have proposed a tax on employer health benefits which some studies say would throw millions more onto the rolls of the uninsured. Are you interested in defending Senator McCain's health care plan? PALINSPEAK: I'm very excited about the role that I will play as his partner. Getting that nod was quite an experience, of course, because I knew that Senator McCain chose to use because the fundamentals, as he was having to explain afterwards, he means the ingenuity of the adverse impacts all across our nation, especially with homeowners. Because the world's weather patterns are cyclical. But what Abraham Lincoln had said, and that's with the volume all the all the all the dealings of the fact that energy is a repeat of Abraham Lincoln's words when he actually said, do you want to know if government is going to grow our economy. The logistics that we would allow a stronghold to be captured by these terrorists then the world is in even greater peril than it is apparent. We?ve got to remember what the bailout does is help those who are seeking democratic values to be served. Yes. Yes, absolutely. 6:18pm - Biden should not smile like when she calls him "unpatriotic". Yikes. 6:09pm Q: The subprime mortgage loan mess - Who do you think was at fault? Was it the greedy lenders? The risky homebuyers who shouldn't have been buying a home? PALINSPEAK: Well, I'm very, very appropriate role in the hands of those who were predator lenders also. But, there has got to be off doing his thing anyway, so he wouldn't be so impacted by, at least, the campaign trail, also it doesn't have to second-guess what their income bracket is because our businesses then and our concerns and That's unacceptable. The support that we have to be solely looked to I don't know, you know that something is broke and John McCain tapped me to be ushered in. OK. 6:07pm - Here's what's different: her hair is down. First time, I think? blog comments powered by Disqus |
